Christian Education Nursery care -- for our youngest ones (infants through age 2) each week. Our caregiver is present also during our eleven o’clock service and is joined by volunteer church members. The preschool through fifth grade classes use “Seasons of the Spirit” curriculum, a church season and lectionary-based curriculum. Classes using Seasons include:

May 4 – There is no youth group scheduled but I hope many of you are planning to join the Korean language congregation for the annual Children’s Day Picnic at Negley Park in Lemoyne. Negley Park is great and overlooks downtown Harrisburg. The picnic starts right after worship, so gather up your family, and head over to Negley Park for good food and games.May 11 Pentecost & Youth Sunday. . . I hope all of you plan to be in worship! We need everyone’s help! There is no youth group after church because it’s also Mother’s Day. May 18 . . .We are having a gathering for all those attending the New Mexico Mission trip. We’ll meet in Geneva Hall at 12:30 p.m. and should be finished by 2 p.m. Lunch will be provided right after church. Your parents do not need to attend this meeting. May 25. . . No Youth Group. June 1. . . We have one more mission trip gathering scheduled. We need a chance to meet the entire team – youth and adults. There are 22 adults on this trip in addition to your four chaperones (Kelly, Chad, Dale, and Karen) and 15 youth. We’ve got a fantastic group! We’ll meet right after church for lunch and should be finished by 2 p.m. Please put this in your calendar. It’s important that you attend ALL mission trip gatherings! She will need to approve your visiting, if you are not already signed up. Adult Education Opportunities in January (All offerings meet on Sundays at 9:30 A.M. unless otherwise indicated. Child care is available.) The Adult Education Committee (Dale Laninga, Marty Shifflett, Chad Thralls, Bob Hotchkiss, Dorothy King, Mary Ann Bedard, Mim Kegerize, Elaine Wilson and John Roe) welcomes your thoughts and ideas. Adult Bible Class Conference Room, Third Level This class uses The Present Word curriculum. God, the People and the Covenant This quarter focuses on the covenant of God with the people of Israel. The first unit focuses on signs of God’s covenant. Unit II study is on the Covenant in exile using passages from Daniel. The final unit focuses on Israel’s return from exile and the rebuilding of Jerusalem’s walls and temple. Passages are taken from Haggai, Ezra, and Nehemiah.
